Durham, N.C.— In Downtown Durham, there have been increasing concerns about the loss of business in the area, especially during weekdays. The Durham Voice decided to investigate and sent writer and photographer, Medha Nair, to document Downtown Durham on a regular Tuesday and Saturday. The first four images are taken on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and the second half are taken on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The streets were almost deserted after 5 p.m. on a Tuesday, while restaurants and streets were filled with people, and parking lots and garages were filled with cars on a Saturday.
