About Ananya Cox

Ananya Cox is a Sophomore, MEJO Journalism track and data science minor. What draws Ananya into journalism is the ability to connect with the community around me and provide a platform and voice for those who can’t share their stories to a larger scale themselves. The stories she thinks of most when she thinks of why she writes are those that she was able to make a real impact, even if just for a few people. This semester she is looking forward to learning more about the Durham community and being able to focus on highlighting important stories from individuals in the community. She is excited to learn more about how Durham works and help bring that information to others!
