About Sarah Clements

Sarah Clements is a junior majoring in political science and journalism with a minor in public policy. Originally from Chapel Hill, Sarah is particularly interested in covering local and state politics, recognizing the impact decisions made at the federal, state and local level impact the daily lives of citizens of Durham and North Carolina as a whole. She currently serves as the assistant city & state editor at The Daily Tar Heel, covering issues concerning the communities of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Orange County and North Carolina as a whole. Following graduation, Sarah hopes to pursue a PhD in political communication, following her passion for researching and understanding how communication and media affect political attitudes and behaviors, as well as what communication reveals about the workings of political institutions and political systems.
