About Lauren LaRoche

Lauren LaRoche is a junior majoring in Media & Journalism and Political Science, with a minor in Health and Society. Originally from Apex, North Carolina, Lauren serves as a reporter for Durham Voice. She is particularly interested in spotlighting small local businesses and community activities across Durham. Lauren is drawn to stories that highlight the people, creativity, connection, and entrepreneurship that shape the city’s unique identity. She previously worked for UNC’s student-run newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel.
