About Carly Evans

Carly Evans is a third-year honors student at UNC Chapel Hill, studying Political Science and Media and Journalism with a minor in Art History. Originally from Winston-Salem, Carly is deeply passionate about correcting the systemic wrongdoings within the criminal justice system. Drawing on her strong background in capital punishment research and legal work, Carly’s reporting provides a voice to those without one while working to better the community around her through advocacy and education. She hopes to bring these passions to highlight the Durham community in a meaningful way. Outside of her academic work, Carly loves reading and staying active.
