About Sydney Baker

Sydney Baker is a senior at UNC Chapel Hill from Cornelius, North Carolina, who is double majoring in journalism and English with a minor in screenwriting/TV writing. She is especially interested in reporting on the local arts and comedy scene in Durham, hoping to illuminate the laughter and humor that is integral to Durham’s voice. Baker worked at The Daily Tar Heel for three years and is active in various campus comedy organizations. In her free time, she enjoys writing poetry and sketch comedy, watching Survivor and thinking I could easily do that, and indulging in pickleball with the senior citizens of her community.
