About Jemimah Byangu
Jemimah is a senior from Concord, North Carolina, double majoring in Political Science and Journalism with a minor in Business. Jemimah is writer for the Durham Voice and is particularly interested in reporting on the history, culture, and people of Durham. She aims to approach her reporting through a people-first lens in order to showcase the lived experiences that define the community. Jemimah has prior experience through her leadership role as Co-Editor-in-Chief for The Journal of Foreign Affairs at Carolina. She has also developed strong writing and reporting skills through coursework and community-based reporting projects. After graduation, she hopes to go to law school, and after, pursue a career as a lawyer.
